Bricks are only made with one external ‘face’, therefore it’s standard practice that they’re placed so the second face is visible on the interior with the more aesthetic face on the exterior.
It might be a little less cute on the inside, but in this case it’s the outside that counts! The interior ‘faces’ of your bricks inside your home will be covered of course, so that’s why you only notice this in your garage.
