Getting you on site means …
What, you need a better reason than the milestone pics? We’ve got a list of ‘em, but you’ll need a White Card first.
This VIP building site access card is a hop, skip, and jump over the red tape around your new home construction site. And we’ll cover the costs! So, how do you get one? You’ll need to do the online training course to learn construction site safety – from how to identify a hazard and report a safety issue, to reducing the risk of accident or injury on site. Once you’re done, you’ll have owner (that’s you) access sorted.
Often referred to as miracle makers, your Site Supervisor not only oversees your site, but they also coordinate all the daily operations. Yep, it’s a big job but someone’s gotta do it. Now that you’ve got your White Card, your site supervisor is the one who will take you on a guided tour and show you how to bring this experience to life.
There’s a bunch of cool stuff you can do when you have building site access. Start by writing a bunch of messages on a brick before adding it to the walls of your new home; it’s like a secret script just for you and your family!
Get the camera ready for the moment your hands touch the wet concrete. The Hollywood Walk of Fame’s got nothing on this. And, if you’re not there on pour day, you can go HAM with glitter, paint, or markers and make your mark like only you can! Either way, take it all in – this is your moment to see all your hard work materialising in front of your eyes.
You’ll get to see your new home grow up in a matter of weeks with multiple site visits throughout the build process. With building site access, your site supervisor will invite you PCI1, PCI2, and key handover. If those things mean nothing to you now, dw, they will very soon! There’s so much good stuff to come.
There’s always one who’s interested in the ‘why’. So here goes: owner access to your building site is usually not granted for legal reasons – ultimately, if something happens on site we’re liable. The White Card is how we overcome this. The training course covers the general safety requirements of an operational safety site in Australia, called ‘Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry CPCCWHS1001’
