Saturday 22nd March 2025 – Up All Night Walk
This March, Bonnie and the Prosecco Pacers took on the Up All Night Walk, a 42km overnight trek across Perth supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities WA.
For families with sick kids needing to travel far from home for specialist medical care, sleepless nights are just part of the deal. By walking a night in their shoes, Bonnie and thousands of others helped provide accommodation, support, and stability for families who need it most.
OH. MY. GOODNESS. In Bonnie’s words: “It was 100% the hardest thing I have ever done 🫢 There really are no words to describe how hard it was.” That’s right—no words (except for these, obviously).
From kilometre 1 to about 27, things were manageable. Spirits were high. Energy was flowing. But after that? Every. Single. Step. Was. Pure. Torture.
Miraculously, Bonnie finished (though she has no idea how). Even more miraculously? No blisters. Nada. Despite walking in her oldest, most questionable shoes. But what did take a hit? Her legs. They are officially on strike. They have left the group chat. They no longer function.
But it wasn’t all pain and suffering! The event itself was a total vibe—pit stops with tunes, snacks, treats, and an atmosphere so electric, it almost made Bonnie forget her legs were falling off. Almost.
And the best part? While her brain is still processing the sheer madness of the whole thing, there’s a tiny (tiny!) chance she might do it again next year. With actual training this time.
Oh, and the real kicker? Bonnie and the Prosecco Pacers absolutely smashed their fundraising goals! Bonnie alone raised $1,074, while the team collectively pulled in an incredible $5,482—all going directly to helping WA families through their toughest times.
P.S. Fun fact: Turns out, delirium and photography don’t mix. Every mid-walk photo is a blurry, smudgy mess, thanks to a super humid night and zero camera awareness. But hey, we have proof she started and finished—so we’re counting that as a win!
Bonnie, we bow down to you. Now go put your feet up. You’ve earned it!
