Starting Over Support (SOS) is a dedicated local organisation helping individuals and families rebuild their lives after crises or domestic violence. Arriving at new accommodation with few possessions, they rely on SOS for essential furnishings, household items, and a caring hand. Through community donations, volunteer hours, and unwavering generosity, SOS ensures that everyone can settle into a safe, comfortable home to begin again.
Whilst SOS is a vital grassroots part of Western Australia’s domestic violence support network, it largely depends on the goodwill of donors and volunteers, as government funding is minimal. At La Vida Homes, we see a wonderful synergy: we help people into new homes, and SOS helps families make theirs feel like home. Together, we’re strengthening our community, one new beginning at a time.
To celebrate each La Vida Homes handover, we’ll donate a “Bucket of Love” to SOS. Filled with everyday cleaning essentials—dishcloths, detergent, brushes, and more—it helps families start fresh in their new environment.
This simple, heartfelt gift reminds them that they’re not alone as they take these first steps towards comfort, stability, and a brighter future.
